CA Datacom/AD Version 15.0 is packaged with Datacom 15.0 components up to CA RS 1601 level. For those not yet using CA Chorus Mainframe (CSM) obtain the additional maintenance from the "CA Datacom/CA Ideal/CA IPC Maintenance Grid for z/OS".

Issue/Introduction

Introduction:

CA Datacom/AD Version 15.0 is packaged with Datacom 15.0 components at the Service Upgrade (S1601) level. This means that CA Datacom/AD 15.0 is already packaged with maintenance up to CA RS 1601.

For those not yet using CA Chorus Mainframe (CSM) to maintain your SMP/e environments, you can obtain the additional maintenance from the "CA Datacom/CA Ideal/CA IPC Maintenance Grid for z/OS".

Instructions:

Go to http://www.ca.com/us/support/ca-support-online/product-content/status/detailed-service-pack-info/ca-datacom-ca-ideal-ca-ipc-maintenance-grid-for-zos.aspx

In the grid, note in the product/release "CA Datacom/DB core products (DB/DD/DQ/SQL/ DATPAK/FSTR) Version 15.0 S1601 (Service Update)”.

Then use the quick link in that far right column "PTFs Since Service Update" to get the dynamically built list of Datacom 15.0 S1601 post-S1601 PTFs for download and to create your solution cart.

In the grid, also note the product/release "CA Datacom/AD Version 15.0" for quick links to the README RI88629, etc.

UPDATE:  

Since the writing of this document, the grid has been enhanced so that all CA Datacom/AD 15.0 FMID solutions can be gotten via CA Datacom/AD Version 15.0 colum with no need to select from the CA Datacom/DB core product column.
