NSX host preparation fails with error: "Host configuration: Failed to send the HostConfig message"

Issue/Introduction

• Multi site configuration is used where NSX Managers are split across 2 sites.
• Host preparation fails with error:
  
  Failed to send the HostConfig message. [TN=TransportNode/[UUID]]. Reason: Failed to send HostConfig RPC to MPA TN:[UUID]. Error: Unable to reach client [UUID], application SwitchingVertical.”
  
  
• A ping from Manager in site A is unable to reach the hosts in site B.  
• A ping from Manager in site B is unable to reach the hosts in site A.

Resolution

Resolve all physical network issues ensuring that each NSX Manager has connectivity to all hosts on both sites.
