Issue/Introduction

Using PAM Client you try to login via RDP to one server and you are getting message 'unknown error'

Environment

PAM 4.2.1

Cause

This device is a load balancer. When customer connects to it via RDP this sends the request to different windows servers. The final Windows machine that it connects to is returned using Round Robin. The error is caused by one of the Windows servers, the one that it is returning, not being reachable. To correct the error it is necessary to figure out which one

Resolution

After getting the list of windows targer server names, check the connection of this list of servers linked to this device

in PAM configuration - tools - networking tools

Check name resolution in tools and this will give the ip adress, then with the obtained ip, check the port 3389 is opened.

One of the servers has the port closed, after opening it the issue is fixed
