The objective of this article is to provide understanding on the Thales Cipher Trust compatibility with vSphere.

Resolution
The CipherTrust Manager is used to provide a key to the virtual machine and vSAN to enable the encryption.
CipherTrust Manager 1.8 and higher are compatible with below vSphere versions:

vSphere 6.5 (u1, u2)

vSphere 6.7 (u1, u2, u3)

vSphere 7.0 (u1)

vSphere 8.0 (u1, u2, u3)
