Issue/Introduction

This article provides instructions on how to create a new vCenter Server alarm so that email notifications for triggered alarms are sent in Japanese.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 8.0 Update 3

Resolution

To receive notifications in Japanese, enter the "Alarm Name," "Description," and "Subject" in Japanese when creating a new alarm via the vSphere Client. Once the alarm created with Japanese input is triggered, the email notification will be in Japanese. Refer to "Create or Edit Alarms" for the procedure to create a new alarm.
