Issue/Introduction

  • During the precheck, the following warning message is displayed:
Minimal disk space is available in the SDDC Manager directory. Available disk space is X GB. Recommended disk space is 6.0 GB or more. Clean up unused files from the directory.
  • When you access SDDC Manager via SSH and run the df command, you can confirm that the / filesystem has a high usage rate.
  • When you run du -h / --max-depth 1, you can confirm that disk usage under /root is high.

Cause

In the past, the customer downloaded large files under /root, which consumed space on the / filesystem.

Resolution

Delete the large files located under /root.
