Issue/Introduction

Unit of Measurement is defaulting to FTE, even though any other values are selected by going to MUX → System Settings → User Defaults

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Login to MUX with Administration rights
  2. Navigate to Administration → System Settings → User Defaults
  3. Select Unit of Measure anything apart from FTE and Log out

Expected Results: The value configured under Administration → System Settings → User Defaults → Unit of Measure should be cascaded to all users who have not personalized their settings via Avatar → Settings → General

Actual Results: The value configured under Administration → System Settings → User Defaults → Unit of Measure is not being cascaded to all users who have not personalized their settings via Avatar → Settings → General. However, the Unit of Measure value is displayed correctly under Administration → System Settings → User Defaults → Unit of Measure

Environment

Clarity 16.4.0

Cause

DE180959

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Clarity 16.4.1.

Additional Information

  • This impacts users after the upgrade to version 16.4.0 who have not personalized their settings via Avatar → Settings → General, as the Unit of Measure setting configured by the administrator will not be cascaded to those users
  • The Unit of Measure settings on the General tab apply to work effort fields such as Actuals, Allocation, and ETC. If the Unit of Measure is configured incorrectly, these fields may display inaccurate values.

Workaround: To set right Unit of Measure, users should navigate to Avatar → Settings → General and set the correct Unit of Measure.
