How to create a snapshot for VCF Operations Fleet Manager appliance

Issue/Introduction

This article provides steps on how to create snapshot for Fleet Manager appliance.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.x
VCF Fleet Management 9.x

Resolution

Follow the steps below to create a snapshot using the VCF Operations UI:
  1. Login to the Product UI of VCF Operations as admin user. (https://<VCF_Ops_FQDN_IP>/ui)
  2. Expand the left panel, Click on Fleet Management > Lifecycle
  3. In the middle pane, Select VCF Management and click the Settings tab.
  4. Navigate to Upgrades and click Create snapshot.
  5. In the Create snapshot dialog box, enter the vCenter hostname, select the respective credentials, and click Submit.

Note: The snapshot creation task can be monitored by reviewing the tasks in the Fleet Management UI.

Additional Information

If the UI is unavailable, a snapshot can be created directly from the vSphere Client UI.
