When you select "Applications" in the query line in the VCF Operations for Networks GUI, and choose "Applications" --> "List" with a scope of "Show" --> "All", you see the error:
"Applications cannot be displayed due to large result set. Please reduce the scope using filters to view applications."

NOTE: VCF Operations for Networks was formerly named Aria Operations for Networks (AON), and prior to that was named vRealize Network Insight (vRNI).
VCF Operations for Networks
In the documentation at Discover Applications, we see the NOTE --> "The following limitations apply when discovering applications in VMware Aria Operations for Networks:"
Under the "Impact if the limit exceeds" column heading, see the entries for "The application topology does not load on the respective application page."
You will see "To gain complete visibility of the application, you must reduce the application members.".
Click the drop-down to the right of the "Show" portion of the display, and change "All" to a smaller scope.
After doing this, you should see the topology display in a form like the screen shot below (which used "Top 100" as an example of a smaller scope), provided the scope is sufficiently small to avoid the results limit.
