TSS ADD(NDT) Command For LPARs Sharing Top Secret Security File

Issue/Introduction

When 2 LPARS share a Top Secret security file a TSS MODIFY dynamically changes 1 LPAR without affecting the other. Does it work the same way for TSS ADD(NDT) commands? Will TSS ADD(NDT) commands need to be issued on both LPARS? For example:

TSS ADDTO(NDT) PSTKAPPL(aaaaa) PTTIMEOUT(nn)

Resolution

The TSS ADDTO(NDT) PSTKAPPL(aaaaa) PTTIMEOUT(nn) command for the NDT will be for both LPARs sharing the security file. The TSS ADDTO command behaves differently than the TSS MODIFY command, which needs to be issued on both LPARs.
