Where can we check the logs or status to confirm if a server email alert was successfully triggered?

Resolution

1. Check the NAS Activity Log (Primary Method)
 
The NAS (Nimsoft Alarm Server) probe processes alarms and triggers actions (like sending emails) via Auto-Operator (AO) profiles. You can monitor its activity log to confirm if the email action was initiated.
  • In the Infrastructure Manager (IM), navigate to the nas probe on the primary hub.
  • Right-click the nas probe and select Status.
  • In the Status dialog, click on Show Activity Log.
  • In the resulting dialog, select a relevant time period and check the Enable Activity Log checkbox to view the entries.
  • Look for messages with the subject "EMAIL" in the log. This indicates that the NAS AO profile matched an alarm and sent a message to the email gateway for processing.
