Topology install fails at kafka cluster

Issue/Introduction

Trying to install topology with a kafka cluster but the install is failing when it gets to starting kafka on node2 of the cluster.

We see this error in the ansible_ifm.log on node1.

 

2026-01-07 13:27:21,125 p=2776 u=topology n=ansible | TASK [netops_kafka : Wait until netops-kafka.service is running] ****************************************************************************************************************************************

 

And after 20 tries, the install fails.

Environment

DX NetOps topology :: All Supported Versions

Cause

When editing the kafka-answers.properties file I added too many entries.

Only edit this section:

Resolution

Go back and fix the kafka-answers.properties file

Any extra entries made besides the above section should be removed.
