Issue/Introduction

During the upgrade of VCF Operations for Logs from 9.0.0.0 to 9.0.1.0, the error is seen

LCMCOMMON80001
Generic system error
Failed to find a VA with ip : "#.#.#.#, hostname : '<li_node_fqdn>'.

When viewing the console for the VCF Operations for Logs appliance VM in vSphere, the screen shows NO NETWORK DETECTED

Environment

VCF Operations for Logs 9.0.x

Resolution

  1. Log in to the appliance VM as root via vSphere console

  2. Restart the network service

    systemctl restart systemd-networkd
  3. Verify networking is restored

  4. Log in to VCF Operations and navigate to Fleet Management > Lifecyclye VCF Management > Tasks

  5. Click the FAILED button for the VCF Operations for Logs upgrade task

  6. Click Retry and Submit to complete the upgrade
