Issue/Introduction

Administrators want to modify the session timeout duration for the User Quarantine Portal to better align with their organization’s security and usability requirements.

Cause

By default, the User Quarantine Portal session timeout is set to 5 minutes. Administrators may not be aware that this value is configurable or where the setting is managed within the ClientNet portal.

Resolution

The Session Timeout setting for the User Quarantine Portal can be configured directly from the ClientNet portal.

Key Details

  • The default session timeout value is 5 minutes.
  • The Session Timeout must be set between 5 and 100 minutes.
  • Any value outside this range is not supported and cannot be saved.

Steps to Change Session Timeout

  1. Log in to the ClientNet portal.
  2. Navigate to:
    Dashboard > Platform > User Quarantine Settings
  3. Locate the Session Timeout field.
  4. Enter a value between 5 and 100 minutes.
  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Additional Information

The updated session timeout applies to user sessions in the User Quarantine Portal.

Users will be required to re-authenticate once the configured inactivity period is reached.
