Issue/Introduction

• Changing the root password via the UI fails with "LCMCOMMON80050" and "Password has been already used. Choose another." error as shown below.

Environment

VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.x

Cause

Aria Suite Lifecycle Appliance is configured to maintains a history of the last 5 passwords.
Therefore, attempting to reuse any of these passwords results in the error: "Password has been already used. Choose another."

Resolution

Provide a new password that does not match any of the previous 5 passwords.
