Invalid credentials error for NSX Manager data source in AON after changing root/admin/audit credentials on NSX Managers

Issue/Introduction

• "Invalid credentials" alarm showing on VMware NSX-T Manager data source(s)

• Local 'admin' credentials are used to validate the NSX-T Manager data source. 
• The 'admin' credentials were recently changed on the NSX Managers, resulting in the above error in the Aria Operations for Networks UI.

Cause

The new 'admin' account credentials set on the NSX Manager has not been updated on the data source in the AON GUI. 

Resolution

In the Aria Operations for Networks UI, navigate to Settings > Accounts and Data Sources > VMware NSX-T Manager data source > Edit, and change the password of the 'admin' local user to the new password. After clicking Validate, it can take around 5 minutes for the Collector node(s) to sync with the NSX Managers using the new admin credentials.
