Kafka install issue for Topology installation
For the Topology installation,
We installed Kafka per the support pages as a cluster, and it installed on 1 host, but do not see kafka on the other 2 hosts of the cluster.

Is this normal behavior until the Topology module is installed via ansible?

Environment

DX NetOps 25.4.1

Resolution

 If you are installing the kafka separately, but for a clustered environment, the kafka install only installs on one node at a time.

Use the following process to install NetOps Kafka:

  1. Verify the prerequisites.
  2. Install NetOps Kafka using one of the following methods:
  3. (If you plan to secure the connection) Configure SSL for NetOps Kafka Using the Self-Signed Certificates.
  4. (If you are installing NetOps Kafka on a multi-node cluster) After you have installed NetOps Kafka on the primary node, repeat steps 1, 2, and (if you have configured SSL for the primary node) 3 for each node.

 

Look at step 4, after installing on one node, do the same on each additional node…
