How to shutdown HCX Manager, IX, and NE

Issue/Introduction

This article provides instructions on how to shutdown appliances deployed by HCX, such as HCX Manager, IX, and NE.

Environment

VMware HCX

VMware Cloud on AWS

Resolution

In vSphere Client or Host Client, right-click the virtual machine and select “Guest OS > Shut down”.

Note: In the VMware Cloud on AWS, shutdown privileges are not granted. please reach out to the Broadcom Support team to assist.
