Robots show up in IM after removing them

Issue/Introduction

Some robots show up again after removing them. I have tried to remove them from the Robots tab in the HUB probe configuration. However they re-appear again. 

Device has been already decommissioned from their environment. 

The following steps are not resolving the issue:

• Deleted the robot from OC, and it was removed successfully.

• Logged into the Hub and attempted to delete it from IM, but the issue still persists.

• Deleted robot.sds and restarted the hub

 

Robots are coming back into IM even though they are uninstalled from server and removed from IM.

Environment

DX UIM 23.4.3

Cause

Unproper robot duplication can create a scenario where the same server is reporting with mixed up hostnames and IP addresses into IM. 

Device IP correlations into cm_computer_system table and cm_nimbus_robot can show mixed up IPs old robots.

Resolution

To resolve the issue: 

- Identify the mixed up robots and all related robots related to the ghost robots entries

- completely uninstall the robots from these systems

- Remove the ghost entries from IM and verify, they should not be coming back in IM
