Issue/Introduction

• Manual removal of NSX VIBs from an ESXi host transport node has been attempted using the following ESXCLI command:
  esxcli software vib remove --vibname=<VIB Name>
  
• Unable to remove all NSX VIBs using the above method.
  
  NB:  The below ESXCLI command confirms that one or more NSX VIBs remain on the ESXi host transport node:
           esxcli software vib list | grep -E 'nsx|vsipfwlib'

Cause

The manual removal of NSX VIBs using ESXCLI command esxcli software vib remove --vibname=<VIB Name> is not supported.

Resolution

This is a condition that may occur in a VMware NSX environment.
