The Next button is gray in the Components section when importing VCF Operations to Fleet Management

Issue/Introduction

  • Attempting to import VCF Operations to Fleet Manager in the Fleet Management > Lifecycle > VCF Management page of the UI, but the Next button is greyed out on the Components step.
  • Error, No vCenter available to select for use with Fleet Manager 

Environment

  • VCF Operations 9.0.x
  • VCF Operations Fleet Manager 9.0.x

Resolution

Validate that all required fields have a value

  1. Verify the Operations Primary Node IP/FQDN field has a correct value

  2. Verify the Operations Admin Password field has a password alias selected

  3. Verify the Root Password field has a password alias selected

  4. Verify that all vCenter(s) that contain VCF Operations appliance VMs (including cloud proxies) are selected in the vCenter Server List

    Note: If no vCenters are listed next to vCenter Server List, configure the vCenter(s) as Deployment Target(s)

    1. Navigate to Fleet Management > Lifecycle > VCF Management > Settings > Deployment Targets

    2. Click Add Deployment Target

    3. Select the vCenter from the list and click Validate

    4. After the Validation successful message is received, click Add

    5. Repeat steps a through d for any remaining vCenter(s) that should be added as a Deployment Target

    6. Navigate to  Fleet Management > Lifecycle > VCF Management > Overview and click Continue in the VCF Operations tile to resume the import operation

  5. Verify the I accept the imported certificate checkbox is checked
