unable to delete maintenance windows/schedules from load balanced Operator Console

Issue/Introduction

A load balancer is handling traffic for multiple Operator Console nodes.

When trying to delete existing maintenance schedules and/or windows, an error is received: "Delete failed, please contact your administrator."

Deleting the schedules/windows when logged in directly to an individual Operator Console node works fine but fails when the browser is pointed to the load balanced URL.

Environment

DX UIM 23.4.6 and prior

Cause

The Operator Console uses an HTTP DELETE request for deleting maintenance windows and schedules.  Many load balancers disallow HTTP PUT and HTTP DELETE requests by default.

Resolution

A fix will be released with DX UIM 23.4.7 (CU7) - tentative ETA February/March 2026.

As a workaround, you can work with your load balancer administrator to configure the load balancer to allow HTTP DELETE requests, or you can navigate directly to the individual nodes instead of pointing your browser to the load balancer URL.
