In VMware Aria Automation, when viewing a specific deployment under Service Broker > Deployments, the "Price Analysis" data from the VMware Aria Operations integration intermittently disappears.
After selecting a deployment and clicking the Price tab, the pricing information is visible for approximately 2–3 seconds before the area becomes blank, displaying "No data" under the Price Analysis for both "Overall" and "Details".
This behavior repeats every time the user switches away from and back to the Price tab or attempts to click into the pricing details.
The cause is a known software defect in the Hybrid Cloud Management Platform (HCMP) service.
One of the responsibilities of the HCMP service is to ensure the persistent display of integrated analytics data within the Aria Automation UI.
A bug in the handling of these data streams causes the UI to clear the information shortly after the initial successful retrieval.
While the integration is functional and data is successfully retrieved, the HCMP service fails to maintain the state of the "Price Analysis" view.
This issue is due to be permanently resolved as part of the next Aria Automation 8.18.1 patch (Patch 4).
Workaround / Important Note:Until the update can be applied, you should:
- Verify the pricing data directly within the VMware Aria Operations console.
- Periodically check the related Release Notes to receive notifications when the formal patch is available for download.
