Issue/Introduction
Even if you add options in the following KB to fix the screen resolution of Windows 11 via Web Console, the settings are not reflected.
How to disable auto-fitting of Windows guest OS screen resolution when accessing from Web Client and VMRC
Windows OS other than Windows 11 such as Windows Server 2012 and Windows 10 etc. will have their resolution fixed with the settings in the above KB.
Environment
VMware ESXi 7.0.x
VMware ESXi 8.0.x
Cause
Windows 11 is encrypted using vTPM. In this encrypted state, there is an issue with the process of reading information from the guest OS, which affects the resolution.
Resolution
This issue has been fixed in ESXi 7.0U3o and ESXi 8.0U1c and later versions.
If you wish to fix the resolution in Windows 11, consider updating to the fixed version.
