Issue/Introduction

Seeing the following error during an NSX upgrade:

• NSX Federation on version 3.x upgrading to 4.x
• Upgraded Global Managers but not Local Managers.

• The following errors are seeing during the upgrade. Error: The requested URI: /api/v1/infra/domains/(NSX MGR DOMAIN)/groups/(group-member)/members-count could not be found. (Error code: 258)

   

Environment

NSX 3.2

Cause

This error is due to the Local Managers not being upgraded yet. A new API call is being used in 4.2.3.1 for group member count that is not available in the 3.2 version. The Global Manager is making a call to the Local Managers, but they are not upgraded. 

Resolution

To resolve the issue, complete the NSX Federation upgrade by upgrading the Local Managers.
