Issue/Introduction

Users are seeking methods to control the visibility and publication state of blueprints within Clarity. Specifically, the following challenges have been identified:

  1. Hiding/Removing Blueprints for Retired Custom Objects: There is a need to prevent customers from viewing blueprints associated with custom objects that are no longer in use.
  2. Hiding/Deleting Standard Blueprints: Users want to know if it's possible to hide or permanently remove standard blueprints from the system.
  3. Unpublishing Published Blueprints: Inquiries have been made regarding the capability to revert an already published blueprint back to an unpublished state.

Environment

Resolution

Based on the current Clarity release, please note the following regarding blueprint management:

  • Hiding or Deleting Standard Blueprints:

    • Clarity does not currently offer a direct feature to hide or delete standard blueprints.
    • Workaround: If a standard blueprint is explicitly linked to a custom object, deleting that associated custom object will also trigger the deletion of its corresponding standard blueprint.

  • Unpublishing Already Published Blueprints:

There is no capability within Clarity to unpublish changes made to a blueprint once it has been set to "published" mode.
This includes the absence of backend procedures, private APIs, or rollback mechanisms to reverse the publish action or revert a blueprint from its published state.

    Recommendation:
The ability to unpublish blueprints would constitute a product enhancement. We encourage users to submit such requests through the product ideation channel for consideration in future Clarity releases.
