Profiles Showing Under Root Instead of Resource Section in ICMP probe

Issue/Introduction

 In the ICMP probe profiles are incorrectly appearing under the root section. This ICMP probe is managed by MCS. 

Environment

• DX UIM 23.4.*
• ICMP 1.29

 

Cause

Unknown, possible config file corruption. The profiles showing in Root, should be correctly also showing in the resource. 

Resolution

In the rare case this case issue happens:

1. verify if the resources are correctly added int the resource sections.

2. Verify that metrics and alarms are functioning as expected for the probe

3. Backup the icmp.cfg file and delete the profiles appearing in the root section manually.  (You can edit the CFG manually or delete it via RAW configure.)
