O2 Policy Rules for an alarm that matches multiple policies.
1) All policies that match filter requirements will be executed accept for same channel/template.
2) If more than one policy has same channel/template then the newest policy will only be executed
The older policy will also be executed, but only for other channels.
3) If more than one policy filter for same alarm matches and have different channel/templates each will be executed
Precedence is not based on the policy creation date. It is based on the last update date. For a newly created policy, the creation date and update date will be the same.
4) If precedent is called for Policy precedent is based on latest Policy creation date.
5) In a policy only Channel order has precedent
6) In a policy notifications are not ordered but run in parallel.
7) Only age-based policies (policies with a created filter) are reviewed every 2 minutes.
Normal policies are executed immediately whenever alarms arrive in DXO2.
8) For age-based policies, the greater-than operator is mandatory (as enforced by the UI).
If you specify only the greater-than operator, the policy will apply only to new alarms that cross the given age threshold (e.g., 30 minutes) after the policy is created.
It will not process historical alarms that had already crossed the threshold before policy creation.
To include older alarms, both greater-than and less-than operators must be used.
