Extracting a new host profile fails with error

A specified parameter was not correct: host
Please extract profile from a host that has a vnic attached to a dvPortgroup. Extract is not allowed for a vnic directly connected to a dvs

Environment

VCF 9.0.x

Esx 9.x

 

Cause

This is an expected behavior in 9.0.The vSphere Host Profiles capability is deprecated in vSphere 9.0 and will be removed in a future release. Instead of Host Profiles, you can use vSphere Configuration Profiles to manage configurations at cluster level

Resolution

To resolve this issue please use vSphere Configuration Profiles in 9.0 to manage configurations at cluster level.
