vSphere Client reports the following configuration alert:
Host profile apply failed with error: Error setting advanced options on the host. View the host logs for details
There are no host profiles attached to the ESXi host.
Creating and attaching a host profile to the ESXi host is compliant, however, the alert persists.
Logs on the ESXi host(vpxa.log and hostd.log) do not report any errors.
vCenter Server 8.x
The alert is stale and has not cleared automatically.

The alert may need to be manually removed from the vCenter Server database.
