cdm 8.03 crashing on Windows systems

Issue/Introduction

The CDM probe 8.03 is giving an application fault on Windows systems:

Faulting application cdm.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x68a45c50, faulting module KERNEL32.dll!K32GetPerformanceInfo, version 6.0.6003.20654, time stamp 0x5d8041ee, exception code 0xc0000139, fault offset 0x00009fad, process id 0x5e70, application start time 0x01dc4f28a7617b56

Resolution

This crash has been observed occasionally but so far, the cause has not been identified.  Broadcom engineers have been unable to reproduce the issue internally.

If you are experiencing this issue, please open a case with Broadcom Support, and request a Debug Build.  This is a special build of CDM which will generate memory dumps files that are useful for diagnosing the crash.

.DMP files produced by a GA version of the probe will not contain the appropriate diagnostic information, it must be generated by the special build, which is only available upon request.
