SSPi deployed SSP in vCenter managed Resource Pool (can be user-created or auto-created by sspi).
For both cases, RP can be deleted in vCenter - manually by user or by disabling DRS on the vCenter cluster hosting SSP workload cluster.
IF this occurs, there is no impact to SSP. But this affects manageability of SSP by SSPi and SSPi communication to workload cluster.
Most importantly, SSPi upgrade will fail and SSP scale-out task will fail in SSPi due to missing Resource Pool.
SSP 5.x
This issue occurs since Resource Pool deletion is allowed in vCenter (with option to save RP hierarchy snapshot) and is not restricted by SSP.
