Issue/Introduction

When enabling vSphere HA, configuration completes successfully, except host reports "vSphere HA agent on this host is disabled"

And vSphere HA State reported as "? N/A"

Environment

vCenter 8.x

ESXi 8.x

Cause

If the vSphere HA configures successfully without reporting an error, except 1 or more hosts report "vSphere HA agent on this host is disabled". Ensure ESXi Hosts are not in Maintenance Mode.

Resolution

Resolution:

• Take ESXi Hosts out of Maintenance Mode 
• Then, Disable / Enable vSphere HA
