Unable to change Edge Node TEP from static to pool while the Edge is in maintenance mode

Issue/Introduction

• There is a requirement to change the TEP configuration on an NSX Edge node.
• When the Edge is in maintenance the option to edit the Edge configuration is greyed out.

Environment

VMware NSX

Cause

You cannot edit the Edge configuration when in maintenance mode.

Resolution

There are two options:

Option 1. Take the Edge out of maintenance mode and edit the TEP configuration as required (Changing the TEP configuration may cause a brief interruption.)

Option 2: Redeploy the Edge with updated TEP configuration. See Redeploy Edge.
