Issue/Introduction

In VMware Aria Operations, Ping Check objects that are manually deleted from the Manage Telegraf Agent section are re-discovered during the next collection cycle.

Environment

VMware Aria Operation 8.x

Resolution

1. This behavior is expected and by design, and it has no functional or performance impact on the environment.
2. The object lifecycle is governed by data retention and inactive object deletion policies, which do not support immediate permanent deletion.
3. Aria Operations automatically removes them after the configured inactive object deletion interval is reached (7 days by default), at which point the objects are permanently deleted from the inventory.
