Issue/Introduction

Is it supported to mix hosts with different memory capacities in a single vSphere cluster?

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi

Resolution

Yes. You can mix hosts that have different amounts of memory within the same vSphere cluster. When Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) is enabled, DRS recognizes the heterogeneous memory configurations and accounts for them when calculating resource distribution and placement decisions.
