Issue/Introduction

• vMotion fails after upgrading esxi host from 7.x to 8.x version with following error in vCenter UI:

           

• Following error is reported in NSX UI:

               

• To validate the nsxa service down run the below command from root mode on esxi host

Resolution

Revalidation of the hosts was required to resolve the issue. Editing the host switch without making any changes to the host switch triggers a revalidation and recovery from validation error (Navigate to fabric > host > Configure NSX > prepare host > edit > finish)
