The “Health Status Change” alarm appears in the Triggered Alarms view.

Issue/Introduction

• The Health status changed alarm  is displayed.
• In the “Health status changed alarm”, the “Trigger the alarm and” rule is set to “Show as Critical.”
• This occurs after restarting vCenter Server.

Environment

vCenter Server 7.x

Cause

When vCenter Server boots, the health status of certain services changes from an initial state to a healthy state.

If, in the alarm rule for “Health status changed alarm”, the “Trigger the alarm and” setting is changed to “Show as Critical”, the corresponding alarm will be triggered.

Resolution

In the alarm rule for “Health status changed alarm”, change the “Trigger the alarm and” setting to the default value, “Keep the target’s current state.”
