Issue/Introduction

To ascertain the issue, verify that the view definition, “Worst TX Packet Drop’s Transformation,” is set to default, with “Maximum” as the value instead of any other option.

Within the vSphere VM Performance List dashboard, the Worst TX Packet Loss Metric is displaying a percentage exceeding 100%. This anomaly is also observed in the corresponding View definition of the dashboard.

Environment

Aria Operation 8.18.x

Cause

This is currently a known issue and will be resolved in a future release.

Resolution

The calculation will exhibit exponential growth once it surpasses one day and reaches millions of percentage points, particularly when the peak transmission packet drop number falls within the millions range. There is no feasible solution to address this issue. To halt the alert, the user will need to disable the notifications. However, this does not imply that packet loss did not occur. The packet loss incident did transpire, but the percentage calculation is incorrect.
