The compliance check fails because the device is either unavailable or was improperly removed from the host, but the claim rule for the device remains configured on the host.
Engage the hardware vendor to remove the misconfigured SATP Rule on the host. To identify the device and the SATP rules associated following commands can be used -
1. To identify the device on the ESXi host - esxcli storage core device list
2. To identify the SATP rule added on the device - esxcli storage nmp satp rule list
Once confirmed the device is not available but the SATP Rule exists, reach out to the storage vendor to disable/remove the required device and further the SATP rule can be removed.
