During the process of upgrading the Aria Automation from an older version 8.xx.x to 8.18.x the proxy-service pods failed to start with the pod status in CrashLoopBackOff status

Issue/Introduction

Validate that the upgrade from the previous version were completed successfully .To validate if the upgrade was successful check the upgrade-report-latest at /var/log/vmware/prelude 

The upgrade-report-latest at  /var/log/vmware/prelude has the following errors :-
[ERROR][xxxx-xx-xx xx:xx:xx][FQDN_AriaAutomation_Node][Exit Code: 1] Error while deploying infrastructure and application services.

 

Environment

Aria Automation 8.18.x 

Cause

vIDM certificate was replaced and the new certificate is not trusted on Aria automation.

Resolution

1. Re-trust the Aria automation with Identity Manager

 

2. Re-deploy the pods by running /opt/scripts/deploy.sh command.
