A manual backup was executed for vCenter through VAMI and the process hung.
Attempted to cancel the task but the task has unable to be cancelled.
vCenter 8.x
The process can hang in trying to establish connection or generate the appropriate bundles for the backup.
Restarting applmgmt service will cancel the task.
To restart the service:
1. SSH into the vCenter server appliance.
2. Run the command: service-control --restart appmgmt
The task should now clear.
