Tanzu Operations Manager clients removed after updating SAML metadata

Issue/Introduction

Tanzu Ops Manager configured to use SAML authentication.

UAA clients have been created in OPS Man UAA.

SAML Metadata updated and post this procedure, the manually created UAA clients are no longer present

Environment

Tanzu Operations Manager with SAML

Cause

When authentication provider details are changed in Ops Manager, the UAA configuration including clients and users are removed.

Resolution

This is expected behaviour when authentication provider details are changed in Ops Manager.

The clients and users will need to be manually recreated.

Additional Information

The default client "opsman" will remain.
