NEC iStorage Plugin deploy task hangs at 0%

Issue/Introduction

• There is a plugin deploy task hanging at 0% in the vSphere Client.
• The task details section contains the following:

  NEC iStorage (istorage.webclient.plugin.#.#.#.#)

• In the vsphere_client_virgo.log, we can see tthe below logs

  [yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss.sssZ] [INFO ] sdk-plugin-deployer-182679    com.vmware.vise.plugin.status.LocalPluginStatusServiceImpl        INCOMPATIBLE: Plugin package istorage.webclient.plugin:#.#.#.# is incompatible. Reason: This is a vSphere Web Client (Flash) only plugin indicated by the missing type="html" plugin manifest attribute.

Cause

This is caused because a plugin for the vSphere Web Client (Flash) is being deployed.

The vSphere Web Client (Flash) is no longer available in vSphere 7.0 and later.

Resolution

Engage the storage vendor for the resolution.
