NSX prechecks for Edge node is getting failed with error as "Failed to execute edge_node_vm_id_check"

Issue/Introduction

Precheck Error:

"Failed to execute edge_node_vm_id_check. Connection error for ########-77b2-####-b2e1-12c4########. The requested object : ########-77b2-####-b2e1-12c4######## could not be found. Object identifiers are case sensitive"

• Precheck Errors needs to be addressed before proceeding with the upgrade.
• If we proceed with the upgrade with out resolving the errors, the edge virtual machines specific configuration like hw version, vmx properties will not be updated on the edge appliance
• EdgeVMIdInspectionTask pre upgrade check fails on upgrade coordinator

Cause

Edge VM was vMotioned from old vcenter server to new vCenter. This lead to raise warning on the vmId inspection task precheck.

VMware does not advice vMotion of auto deployed edge nodes from one vCenter to other vCenter

Resolution

Deploy a new Edge VM from the current vCenter and replace the problematic VM's and rerun the pre checks to proceed further.
