Issue/Introduction

In VCF Operations 9.0, configured VC linking, added two vCenters, the status are both 'Active', but when we login to VC1 vCenter Web GUI, we can only see VC2; and when login to VC2 vCenter Web GUI, we can only see VC2.    The vCenter 'VC1' is always missing.

Environment

VCF  9.x

Cause

As the vCenter status are both "Active", but VC1 is always missing in vCenter Web GUI, there are inconsistent or stale info in background.

Resolution

The easiest way to fix it :

Click on "RESET LINK" in vCenter Link.

The RESET LINKING action performs the following actions in the background:

a)Forced Unlink:
It sends API calls to the linked vCenters to forcibly break the existing logical linking relationship, cleaning up any potentially stale configuration data.

b)Configuration Reapplication:
It then re-runs the full linking process, ensuring all configuration files and trust relationships are freshly applied and synchronized based on the current VCF Operations settings. This often resolves synchronization issues that occur below the surface of the "Active" status.
