Can not select Convert to Template menu

Issue/Introduction

Although permissions were configured as specified in the document Clone a Virtual Machine to a Template, a menu option such as "Convert to template" is grayed out.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 8.x

Cause

A necessary permission is missing.

Resolution

Add the following privilege:

• Virtual machine > Provisioning > Mark as template
