Issue/Introduction

  • The creation of a content library from inside an organization fails on VCFA.
  • On vCenter the content library seems to be created properly.
  • The operation "Created Content Library <name>" fails with error:
    • Internal Server Error - Unable to perform this action. Contact your cloud administrator.
    • com.vmware.vapi.std.errors.Error: Error (com.vmware.vapi.std.errors.error)
    • A general system error occurred. Error message: Get "http://localhost:1080/external-cert/http1/#.#.#.#/6443/apis/imageregistry.vmware.com/v1alpha1?timeout=2m0s": net/http: request canceled (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers).

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation Automation 9.x

Cause

The error indicates a failure to contact the Supervisor on port 6443

Resolution

Ensure that the VCFA host can reach the supervisor control plane VMs on port 6443.
