Issue/Introduction

You have created a policy to block file transfer to network share. In the policy, you have created an exception for the IP address of a particular network share location that you want to allow the transfer to; However, the exception does not work.

Agent configuration has the Network Shares (Copy to Share) channel enabled.

Cause

The Recipient Exception IP field is not applicable to Network Shares channel. This is by design.

Resolution

You may use the agent configuration to create an exception for the IP of network share.
