Issue/Introduction

Attempting to install vCenter Server Appliance (vCSA) fails with a timeout error.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server Appliance
VMware vSphere ESXi

Cause

Running Antivirus service on a machine where the installer is running prevents communication between the machine and vCenter Server or ESXi on which the vCSA virtual machine is deployed. 

Resolution

Stop or disable the Antivirus service then attempt the installation again.
